Companion Parrot Connection is an integral part of what we are trying to accomplish with our Humane Kids Camp program. The purpose of this camp is to teach young people responsibility, kindness and respect for all living things. CPC was a perfect addition to our camp program because teaching young people about exotic birds was a piece we were missing. Of course, the campers love the opportunity to see these beautiful birds up close and personal, but the lesson that accompanies that opportunity is the reason we host this camp. This is a natural collaboration between CPC and the Placer SPCA because we both know that education is the only way we can have a future where animals are not abused, neglected or abandoned.
