Wild at Heart, Wild at Home
provides experienced, beginner, and prospective parrot owners alike with an in-depth understanding of how natural parrot instincts shape their captive behaviors, which can be annoying or frustrating at times.

This second seminar in the Parrots as Companion Animals community seminar series lays the foundation for The Positive Parrot by discussing :

  • wild instincts and natural parrot behavior
    • in the wild
    • in your home
  • how parrots learn
  • introduction to behavioral analysis & positive reinforcement training with parrots
    • terminology
    • "functional analysis" how-to's
    • reinforcement vs. punishment & why positive reinforcement is the only method we should use with our parrots
 
Cost: $40 (includes live web-conference, PowerPoint presentation, interactive Q&A sessions and electronic handouts).

  • Seminar times are approximate and may vary depending on the number of attendees and the amount of discussion. Please allow a minimum of an additional 30 minutes.
