UPDATED FOR 2007
This third seminar in the Parrots as Companion Animals series builds upon the principles of behavior analysis when dealing with a wild animal in captivity covered in Wild at Heart, Wild at Home. In The Positive Parrot, students are given an opportunity to:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of what motivates captive parrots to perform undesired behaviors.
  • Hone skills to analyze and modify your behavior and environment to prevent or reshape commonly experienced frustrating behaviors we call "aggression," "stubbornness" or "destructive" (to name a few).
  • Learn to shape and chain new behaviors ("tricks") with your companion parrot.
Prerequisites: Living with Parrots and Wild at Heart, Wild at Home
Cost: $40 (includes live web-conference, PowerPoint presentation, interactive Q&A sessions and electronic handouts).
